2003 Annual Meeting In Review  

The 31st Annual Meeting of Sioux Rural Water System, Inc. was held on Thursday, June 12, 2003.  The meeting was held at the Castlewood School Auditorium in Castlewood, South Dakota at 8:00 pm. 

A delicious lunch was catered by Joy Bruinsma of Castlewood, South Dakota and was served by the Board of Directors wives.  At 7:00 pm a lunch of roast beef sandwiches, potato salad, pudding, cookies and juice or coffee was enjoyed by all. 

The annual meeting commenced at 8:00 pm with over 200 people in attendance.  Chairman, Greg Wellhouse called the meeting to order, read the proof of mailing, reported that we did have a quorum and read the minutes of the 2002 annual meeting.

Chairman, Greg Wellhouse gave the president's report, Treasurer, Mitch Pratt read through the treasurer's report and Nicole Larson of Kinner & Company discussed the audit review.  Manager, Douglas Anderson spoke on the construction and system improvements that were done last year.

The election of directors was held by Attorney, Todd Boyd.  Nominated unanimously were in District 1:  Jason Wagner, District 4:  Jim Thyen and District 3:   Mitch Pratt.

Lastly, on the agenda was the door prize drawings.  We have listed the proud winners of the door prizes on the following page.  Also for your enjoyment we have included some photo's of the 31st Annual Meeting on the following page.
